S-Bahn Berlin GmbH offers the population of Berlin and Brandenburg an environmentally friendly mobility guarantee as an alternative to individual transport in the form of the S-Bahn local transport service. But in operating the S-Bahn it is important to eliminate any emerging negative impacts on the environment to provide an even better basis for this mobility guarantee.
